SKINCARE REMEDY FOR DIFFERENT SKIN TYPES

Soo many people believe that oils are not good for the skin, that it causes acne and the likes but this statement is not entirely true because oils are very good for the skin irrespective of the skin type and each oil have the skin type they are suitable for and have a significant role they play on the skin. Today, we would be talking about the oils you need for your skin type and those that you should run away from to avoid complications.
Although there are varieties of oil, we would mention a few

·         For the oily skin; oils and butter that are suitable are;
Hempseed oil, jojoba oil, safflower oil, moringa oil, sunflower oil, grapeseed oil, rosehip oil, apricot kernel oil, mango butter and shea butter.
These oils work on oily skin because they have a low comedogenic rating (i.e. they won’t clog your pores), they work by dissolving the stale oils and excess sebum found within the pores of the oily skin, thereby getting rid of the excess oil in the skin.
The key is to use oils of comedogenic rating of 0-5.

·         For the dry skin; suitable oils and butter are;
Avocado oil, olive oil, castor oil, macadamia nut oil, lavender oil, carrot seed essential oil/ carrot oil, argan oil, hazelnut oil, shea butter and cocoa butter.
Key is to use oils with high oleic acid content.

·         For the normal skin; suitable oils and butter are;
Jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, argan oil, grapeseed oil, rosehip oil, coconut oil, olive oil, apricot kernel oil and shea butter.
Key is to use oils with low comedogenic ratings of 0-2.
Note that the normal skin is not perfect and at such occasional pimples can occur. Hormones, as well as too much junk foods, can affect the skin.

·         For the combination skin; suitable oils and butter are;
Apricot kernel oil, rosehip seed oil, sesame oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil and shea butter.
Key is to use oils with a balanced ratio of oleic and linoleic acids.

·         For sensitive skin; suitable oils and butter are;
Jojoba oil, argan oil, avocado oil, carrot oil, calendula-infused sunflower oil, evening primrose oil, carrot tissue infused sunflower oil and shea butter.
On a final note, to know oils that have a low comedogenic rating of 0, they are usually not heavy to the skin and they feel dry. These oils have high levels of linoleic acids.
